But don't fret, as the end of the month is a special time at Papirmass: it's PRINT REVEAL DAY! 🥳 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Edition 116 featured the photography of @coreyisenor. Corey's photograph, "Buoy o Buoy", features a vibrant buoy mirroring itself in the reflection of a Canadian sunset. We love that this image is so striking despite its limited subject matter and colour palette. The vibrant red buoy is isolated amongst the dreamy pink, purple, and blue of the sky, making the image somewhat surreal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We love when the simplest of artworks surprise us in ways we could never expect! They refuse, however, to do it with pleasure." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The women in Williams' paintings have no interest in being overly objectified, overly sexualized, or overly enthusiastic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instead they are defiant. Looking into their locked gazes you get the sense that they're conscious of being on display, but they have zero intention of performing the media's role of 'female'. ----------------------------------- Love contemporary portraiture as much as we do?
